All of Hooper Imports LLC's Lifan engines are unicycle non-rotary shift engines. International shift engines are one down and three up shifting pattern (13). Traditional shift engines shift all down (). Engine kits contain one engine with 14 tooth counter shaft drive sprocket, side cover, carburetor, intake tube, shift lever, kick start lever, CDI unit, rectifier, spacer, gasket, and hardware.

I bought two of these engines to install on a 1968 and a 1971 Honda Trail 90. It fit with some modification. Frame requires a little drilling and grinding, exhaust, electrical, carb and air filter mounting, clutch cable, require modification. If you're mechanically inclined you can do it in a weekend.

IMO these engines are much better than the original Honda engines. They start easy, have good power, and are very reliable. The extra power over the original engine makes the dual range transmission unnecessary for off road use.
